Azure's LoreBorn to human parents, Azure seemed a normal kid.
No weird things about him whatsoever, normal skin, normal
eyes. Just a kid, only difference being his constant smelling of
others, being disrespectful and aggressive to whoever doesn’t
smell ‘right’.
Yes, even his family. They never really understood what was up with that. When he was still a small child he couldn’t hurt them that bad, but as he grew so did his claws and
teeth. Sharp teeth.
When he became a teen, these seemingly little quirks turned
worse. They became more aggressive, more disrespectful, more paranoid.Despite every thing his mother taught him, he disobeyed. He started developing features a normal person wouldn’t have. Red eyes, his hands slowly started turning purple, overtaking his whole body. Then came the horns and
finally when he was 15 came the worst part, the infestation of a parasite. It slowly spread over his skin, these parasitic appendages growing over his body. Yet, he didn’t seem to care, his parents were terrified of these changes. Locking him in his room or outside the house more often than not, They were scared of him, scared he would kept hurting them.Eventually sending him off to a boarding school just so they wouldn’t have to deal with him anymore
At first the parasite just affected him on the outside, but
gradually it grew inside him. Growing into him, it crawled in
through his left eye, the closest thing it could go through. It
took out that eye, filling it with those same appendages.
It was a wonder it never actually reached his brain.
He was a paranoid mess all throughout the last few years of his school career. He only really paid attention to the thing he enjoyed most, literature and poetry. It was enough to keep him going.
While the parasite kept growing inside him, corrupting him in some way. He wore the effects of it like an accessory, he seemed proud. Of course, he wasn’t but they didn’t know and especially didn’t like that, nobody did. They all saw him as a walking time bomb, he never made friends due to this, not that he wanted to anyways. It was a matter of time you were his next target, whether he did it intentionally or not.
Eventually not even the school wanted him, he was dangerous to the other students, so they sent him off once again, ending up in a church where he’d be ‘trained’ to become a better creature, become more human. Yet, They didn’t address him as a person anymore, no he was simply that, a creature.
Eventually it seemed the parasite had stopped growing, stopped affecting his mind. But it had changed him for the rest of his life. While he tried his best to regain his senses, he stopped being as aggressive, stopped growling without reason. The teachings the
church brought helped him get back to his feet, helped him regain a semblance of normalcy, humanity.
Then he decided to work at that church, they had helped him
regain himself. He did his work diligently. Outside of work he
lived quietly, working on his poetry, even releasing two poetry
books he had wrote. Eventually he got promoted to Deacon,
where he stayed in that position for 7 months before being
taken away by the corporation.
